📜Cultivation Methods

"There are as many ways to cultivate the Dao as there are grains of sand on the beach." - Unknown Immortal Cultivator

Cultivation Manuals

There are multiple types of cultivation manuals in SageVerse. They are how a character cultivates their Qi, essence, and soul, and they provide stat boosts and level bonuses based on the cultivation method. Here are some of the general effects of cultivation manuals. All cultivation manuals have a mastery rate. Before cultivation manuals are mastered, neither their effects nor skills are permanently acquired. Cultivation manuals can be blended, if multiples of the same copy are acquired, to increase rarity and potency.

  • Access to AE, TE, or SE points

  • Base stat bonus

  • Level bonuses

  • Movement techniques

  • Attack skills

  • Defense skills

  • Elemental law experience

Movement Techniques

Movement techniques are footwork techniques designed to enhance a cultivator's ability to be nimble in combat, but also to move around faster as they traverse the continents. They can be found in cultivation manuals or as standalone techniques. They all have their own particular requirements to learn them and each have a mastery level. Once mastered, the technique can be used freely and then sold or traded.

Secret Skills

Secret Skill NFTs are special "Martial Skills." They are skills that can accomplish feats beyond the level of the character in return for HP. They usually have stat requirements and are found in ruins, dungeons, and minor worlds as a legacy of some sort. Secret Skill NFTs cannot be blended and are already legendary. As a character grows, they will be able to unlock more powers of the secret skill and receive fewer HP consequences. Secret skills also have a mastery level in which it is memorized and can traded or sold without consequence.

Concepts

Concepts are special understandings that have extremely high requirements in a particular stat. They are naturally formed (i.e., airdropped) by players' experiences in the game, the character titles they unlock for their feats or achievements, and their cultivation method, talent, and level. They generally provide passive variations to overall aspects of a character. For instance, the concept of vibration can add the "shaken" status effect to attacks, lowering an enemy's physical defense to subsequent attacks. Concepts also have a master level and can be sold or traded for no consequence after complete mastery.

Force Fields and Domains

Force fields and domains are zones or areas with a player as the center that effect combat in a number of ways. The main difference between a force field and domain is that force fields only affect the player, whereas domains affect everyone around the player. A wind force field may slow down attacks that come into contact with it, or even speed up the player using it, but a wind domain may slow down all enemies within the domain and speed up all allies. Force fields and domains can be learned via cultivation manual or special NFTs that forego the need for a cultivation manual.

Martial Intents

Martial intents are a matter of complete serendipity. If a concept is considered to be a special understanding of a particular skill, then a martial intent would be a particular understanding towards cultivation as a whole. Only the most determined to become the absolute best of the best in all that they do with strongest foundations will develop a martial intent. It requires the mastering of a cultivation technique, understanding a concept within that technique, and having immaculate breakthroughs in cultivation realms as well as the highest levels of quest completion. Martial intents provide extreme passive boosts to stats as well as unique abilities. Martial intents simultaneously deplete Qi or Essence and Soul Energy, so they cannot be used indefinitely.

Buddha Intent: To encompass all living things in the mind of buddha, allowing for extreme vitality and regeneration

Asura Intent: Sharply raise attack power, while causing fear and weakness in your opponents

Ethereal Intent: Come into a place of selflessness and perfectly circulate one's cultivation technique, sharply increasing perception for a time to learn skills faster

These are just examples of what a martial intent is like. A martial intent is the definition of unique and rare. It cannot be sold separately from the character that developed it. To sell a martial intent is to sell a highly developed character, and the odds of it aren't very likely. This truly embodies the term "can only be sought after, not purchased."

Omega Techniques

Omega techniques represent the highest culmination of a high-level player's entire cultivation, another serendipitous phenomenon that may occur. While a player is in the midst of cultivation, they may conceive an Omega technique. This ultimate attack or mode can change the tide in a high-level battle between cultivators of the same level. Once conceived, Omega techniques can be recorded onto a jade scroll and sold or passed down within a sect.
