SageVerse character cards will be base level cards. Their uniqueness and rarity will be solely dependent on how players develop and customize their characters. More races and creatures coming soon.
Choose Your Past and Shape Your Future
SageVerse character card NFTs will have different class-based origins, which will determine the initial metadata, base stats, class perks, and leveling bonuses. There will be pros and cons to each character class. For instance, a remote villager may have a strong willpower and physical foundation, but limited intelligence and perception to start. Carefully choose your character class because it will determine your initial play style and cultivation path. However, once you start the path of cultivation, your past and background matter less and less, as you will become an Immortal Cultivator. Your fellow apprentice brothers and sisters will become your new family and the sect you join will be your new home.
Villagers
Violet and golden-laced clouds lazily drift above the morning horizon beyond the plains. The roosters have long been awakened by the rhythmic “pah” echoing throughout the otherwise silent countryside morning. A young boy strikes an iron bark tree until his hands are bloody and bare, then rubs them in common herbs foraged in the mountains around Greenberry Village. Completely aware of the possibility of hidden injuries from his training, the fierce light in his eyes hints at a determination that will not falter. He packs his bags and begins his long journey towards The Nine Divine Valleys martial house entrance tournament.
“I will climb to the peak of the martial path and defy the heavens!”
Scions
A young lady listens astutely to her Martial Tutor in her family training grounds. She breathes according to the cultivation formula being taught to her, slowly circulating the Qi in her body until she finally makes her first full revolution collecting the saturated Qi into her muscles and altering them ever so slightly as she begins her walk down the martial path.
“Excellent work, young Madame. At this rate, while you are not as fast as those of the Martial Tribes and the Sect Disciples, I dare say you’re not far behind at all. But you must remember to always cultivate diligently. Competition for your family's head is fierce! You’re the most talented youth in your family, but unfortunately you were born a woman and a talented one at that. There are quite a few suitors sending marriage requests to your father...”
A willful light flashes in her eyes as her eyelids part. Her pupils reflect a placid wintry iciness.
“I want nothing to do with petty things like the family head and marriage. I only wish to see how far I can walk down the martial path. And no man, neither my father, nor these so-called suitors, will hinder my steps.”
“Tonight, I’ll leave and enter The Nine Divine Valleys entrance tournament…”
Disciple
“Whew, after two years of being 'interim disciple,' these cheap bastards make me take the entrance exam?"
Luckily, my connections with the sect merchant pavilion let me grease some wheels and I’ll be able to get a courtyard and use a jade cultivation slip to train.
“Just you wait, Nine Divine Valleys. I’ve been building my foundation these past ten years, and I will show you all just how far I will walk down my martial path."
Clansmen
